The announcement was made earlier today, June 30, that of Professor Attahiru Jega disengages his office as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after his appointment in 2010 and conduction of two free and fair elections in 2011 and 2015.
Nigerians took to social media to celebrate his retirement with the #CelebrateJega which has been trending since the early hours of today.
